I lost some of my blog entries and all the comments after updating mySQL on my website.  I did not catch the corruption before the clean archive was overridden.  I have reloaded all the entries I could and hope to update the blog more frequently.

Cooking for Couples

Tara and I went to the Kitchen Conservatory  They had a wonderful class on cooking for couples. It was designed to be a romantic dinner for couples while teaching them cooking skills. The meal consisted of crab cakes with seasoned mayonnaise, steak Diane with mushrooms, pasta with garlic and shallots, Caesar salad, and flourless chocolate cake with brandied whipped cream. It was very enjoyable and we learned a few tricks as well.

Finished setting up the BBS, Chris Haynes Forum. I used YaBB and modified the settings. It was an easy install. Right now it only has a few topics, but I will add more based on feedback.

There is currenlty a spot for my RPG buddies. I also added an area for 2 Rivers Church.

Tara and I just got back from a cooking class. It was at the Kitchen Conservatory in Clayton. It was FONDUE for COUPLES. It was a basic class teaching how to make a cheese, seafood, and chocolate fondue. We also learned to make several dipping sauces.

Web Work

I am working on adding a Bulletin Board System to the website. I hope it will encourage more communication. A BBS is a better way to enable others to join in and add input.

Basher Bill

Bill, Joice, and Brave Asher came over of dinner and a visit today. We had lots of fun. We talked until the wee hours and Brave was wonderful. Bill and I talked about how to improve the 2 Rivers Church web site. I hope to live up to Bill expectations. He is a really good web designer. I am going to help him out on the web site.

Bill also showed me a cool Instant Messenger program, Trillian. It allows you to enter all the IMs into a single program. That way you can stay in contact with anyone no matter what IM they use on one single program. You can upgrade the free version with cool add-ons. I like the POP-3 mail check add-on.
Baby Brave and Father Bill

We when to HomeTeam at the Ross’s home tonight. Had lasagna, salad, and garlic bread for dinner. The food was great as usual.

This week we started chapter 2 of the book. It was about God’s attributes. We covered his natural attributes. God is transcendent (excels above all), immanent (near), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (in all places all the time), omniscient (knows everything), eternal (timeless), infinite (unlimited), and unchanging. We also covered God’s moral attributes. For example, God is holy, loving, and just to only name a few.

We finished by covering that God is triune. In other words, we went over the Trinity. God is one being, but He exists in three persons. This can be confusing when examined cursorily, but it is essential to fully appreciate. It is important to comprehend that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have have existed from the founding of the world. God the Father, the fount of Deity, originates, Jesus, the Son, eternally begotten of the Father, reveals, and the Holy Spirit, eternally proceeding from the Father and Son, executes.

If I have failed to communicated these topics, please pick of copy of Paul Little’s book Know What you Believe, or better yet pick up the Bible and examine the issues. That is the cool thing about the Bible it will never lead you wrong, as long as you are earnest in your studies.

MultiMedia Man

Dave Powell, Sherri and I tried to figure out how to liven up the Sunday school time for the kids at 2 Rivers Church. The time is called Kid Zone. It is pretty cool. There are songs, skits, multimedia, Bible verses, and much more. Dave and I have to find cool sounds to help with the skits and transitions between sections. It was lots of fun. We found tons of interesting sounds, now we have to set the up for use during Kid Zone.

Super Bowl Sunday

For those of you that know me, you know that I have little interest in watching sporting events. On the other hand, I do enjoy watching the Super Bowl commercials. It amazes me how much money the corporate world spends on trying to control what we associate pleasure with or why we should buy their stuff to avoid pain. In other words, buy this product so your life will be much better, or if you don’t buy this product your life will be miserable.

We are going over the Scott and Shannon’s home for a Super Bowl party after church. A few of us are bringing the X-Box and I have the crossover cable. Should be tons of fun. Tara cooked some white chili and I am going to make some guacamole.

Weekend work

Spent much of the day cleaning up the basement storeroom. I will post a picture in a week or two when it is all done. I need to wire a few more electrical outlets and add a circuit breaker to the fuse box. Finished cutting the trim for around the front hallway.

After dinner, decided to finally remove the old Web Enabling Team files from my main page and redo it to something a little more personal. (You know a picture of my head going around in a circle with my tongue out). How much more personal can one get. he he he.
